Whaleway missions
A multi partners project
Since 2022, we participated with our partner, the association Longitude 181, at the organisation of the WhaleWay missions. We are supported by Explore, who host us on their ship during the last missions accross the Mediteranean sea ! The objectives are to follow, identify and understand the behaviours of Mediterranean spermwhales in order to protect them in the Pelagos sanctuary. These missions are held yearly to follow the regular patterns in the mediteranean spermwhales behaviours.
Find out the results of WhaleWay missions published by Longitude 181 on their website.
After these missions, and thanks to the quantity of data recorded accross the years, we were able to produce results amongst different media such as report research scientific papers. Our researches are also mentionned in documentaries and news papers.
